RPOC1 supports Brgy Development Program

SAN FERNANDO CITY, May 5 (PIA) - - The Regional Peace and Order Council in the Ilocos Region (RPOC1) led by La Union Governor Francisco Emmanuel R. Ortega III vows to support the Barangay Development Program (BDP) under the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC).
In the recent episode of the Kapihan sa Ilocos of the Philippine Information Agency, Ortega said the council, as one body, backs up the BDP by issuing a manifesto of support.
"Napakahalaga po na suportahan ang BDP kasi naniniwala po tayo na lahat doon nagsisimula sa barangay. Kung may development sa barangay, may development sa towns, cities, provinces, at sa buong bansa," Ortega said.
