Mayor's Picnic in Romsey
YET another staple event in the Romsey town diary has been cancelled.
The annual Rotary Mayor's Picnic planned for July 18 will no longer go ahead due to coronavirus.
County and borough councillor Nick Adams-King said: "Another regular Romsey event cancelled as a consequence of the uncertainty and continuation of restrictions.
"Once more understandable, but a massive disappointment, most of all for the very many volunteers who work so hard to make this such a wonderful event each year. Huge thanks are due to them.
"Let's hope Walk the Test Way is even more popular this year to help raise some of the money which has been lost to our local charities through the cancellation of the mayor's picnic."
