Hey, good to see you. Let's get to the rundown first. We have a major cybersecurity warning for you on your home and work computers but don't worry, I'm gonna show you how to protect yourself. Then. New information about robocall scams that are exploding right now and which ones to look out for? Plus pay hikes are happening, find out which companies are going to pay you more, starting now. First up let's get to that security alert you need to know about and you need to do something about it. Right now, Microsoft is urging Windows users to install an update after security researchers found the serious vulnerability in the operating system and they want you to do this right now in case you missed it. The vulnerability is called print nightmare. It allows hackers to get into your computer and get to anything that's on it. So what should you do? The company has already rolled out fixes for Windows 10, Windows eight and Windows seven, but here's what you need to do. You need to go to the settings page on your computer, then select this update and security followed by Windows update. The Microsoft website also has a way for you to download new software that will fix the problem as well. Now, to another type of security alert, phone scams are hitting record highs. The app robo killer collected some data and found that we got nearly six billion boom, six billion spam calls last month alone. That's a huge increase from the months before. So what were the top phone scams nationwide? Those annoying calls about your vehicle's warranty? I actually got one today came in at number one I'm calling because we sent you several notifications about extending coverage on your car warranty but didn't hear back. And this is one last courtesy call to let you know that you can still keep your vehicle under coverage. Number two Scammers calling about health insurance. Take a listen. This is a very important message from health insurance marketplace. Please press one to be transferred to one of our representatives, but the fastest rising robocall coming in. Third calls about student loans. Thank you for your submission regarding the student forgiveness plan. You have been approved for a $0 per month payment. Press one to get rid of your student loan. Those have increased by more than 30%, largely because the COVID relief program for student loan forgiveness is coming to an end soon. So they're trying to get you don't fall victim to these phone scams. Just a reminder. Don't answer calls from unknown numbers. Never give out your personal and financial information over the phone to anyone who you don't know. And another warning from robot killer expect spam text messages to increase this month to a big one that's out now fake text claiming to be from your bank. Trying to get you to click on a link. I got one of these last week. It looks very real. So if you get a text with a link inside, delete it, don't open it, just move on. Finally, the restaurant industry wants you and chains are trying to really new workers by raising wages whose hiking their pay Darden maybe you haven't heard of it. But they own restaurants like the olive garden says every hourly worker will earn at least $10 an hour including tip income and the plans to keep increasing that year to year.
