The owner of RomUniverse.com has been ordered to pay $2.1 million to Nintendo for pirating the company’s games.
The site was a destination to download free copies of Nintendo titles for consoles like the Switch and the original NES. But last week, a US district judge ordered the site’s owner, California resident Matthew Storman, to pay up for the piracy. TorrentFreak was first to report the news.
