LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — Prosecutors on Wednesday filed a 72-hour hold on a man accused of shooting and killing his girlfriend and her 3-year-old chid.
The hold gives prosecutors more time to file formal murder charges.
As News 18 previously reported, 27-year-old Devonta Roberts is a suspect in the double homicide Monday night at Romney Meadows.
A probable cause affidavit says officers found 22-year-old Victoria Moore dead on the kitchen floor. Officers found her daughter, 3-year-old Datoria Roberts, outside the apartment with severe injuries.
