Rockford artist Joe Tallman finalist in national PBR can competition

And now you might see it on a beer can.
The Rockford artist is well-known for his retro-sci-fi, vintage comic book-inspired illustrations for promotional materials and gig posters, but Tallman's latest venture could put his artwork in front of millions.
Tallman, 32, is a finalist in Pabst Blue Ribbon's latest art can contest. Thousands of artists from across the country submitted their work in hopes of landing a coveted PBR art can later this year, and Tallman is now one of five in the running for the can and a $10,000 cash prize.
Tallman's design is a modern yet vintage spin on the classic Pabst Blue Ribbon can. It's also a nod to one of Tallman's favorite artists, Jack Kirby of Silver Surfer fame.
