While the Minnesota Department of Health did not report any additional coronavirus-related deaths today, Olmsted County recently experienced its first COVID-19 death since late last year.
Olmsted County Public Health says the death involved a Hispanic woman in her late 50s who lived in a private residence and died after she was hospitalized late last month. It was the 98th coronavirus-related death in Olmsted County since the beginning of the pandemic.
Prior to her death, Olmsted County had not experienced a COVID-19 death in about four months. Officials noted a death was reported last month, but it actually occurred back in December.
