ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — If you're in the market to buy a home, be ready to play the house-hunting game for longer than usual. Real estate agents in the Rochester area say the low inventory of houses in the area can't meet the surplus of buyers.
Experts say right now interest rates are low so that's a great thing for buyers, but could put sellers in a tight spot. One couple from the area says they recently lost their dream home because the competition was just too much.
"This house was two miles away from where we are now, we thought we made a generous offer over the asking price but it just didn't cut it,” Samantha Litto said.
