Churches throughout Heywood are partnering with local schools and nurseries to present a special ‘out-of-lockdown’ Easter Egg Hunt.
Local children are busy making 19 decorative Easter Egg pictures that will be on display across the town.
Revd Sally Robinson, from St George’s, St James’ and St Margaret’s churches, said: “We really hope this is going to bring a smile back to people’s faces. Christians believe Easter is a celebration, all about hope and new life.
“This past year hasn’t been much fun for anyone. Many people in Heywood have been through a lot, and some are still living with hard problems or losing loved ones. When you’re up against it like that, anybody can start feeling hopeless.
