There was bad news for Liverpool last night after Andy Robertson appeared to damage his ankle in Scotland’s 1-0 friendly defeat to Northern Ireland at Hampden Park. The defender is set for a scan back at his club to assess the potential problem. Robertson, 30, could not continue after sustaining an injury following a heavy challenge in the first half from Sunderland’s Trai Hume and was replaced by Bologna’s Lewis Ferguson. “We’ll assess him,” Scotland manager Steve Clarke said after the game. “He’ll go back to his club and they’ll assess him. Hopefully, he’s back soon.”
