Communities Secretary Robert Jenrick insists Stoke-on-Trent City Council and other authorities will get the funding they need – despite local concerns over the 'extremely challenging' financial situation.
Mr Jenrick says the government is 'absolutely committed' to ensuring councils are properly supported, and ruled out a return to austerity funding cuts to repay debts incurred during the pandemic.
