Roaring Fork Fire board determines how to spend funds by 'what's best for all areas'

A few years ago, the Snowmass-Wildcat Fire Protection District and the Basalt and Rural Fire Protection District joined up to form the Roaring Fork Fire Rescue Authority, which shares resources between districts and has a board comprised of members from both districts. Now, the Snowmass-Wildcat Fire Protection District board faces its first contested election in 16 years.
