Police are at the scene of an incident in Stevenage, which has caused the closure of both Fairlands Way and Verity Way.
Motorists have been asked to avoid the area and find an alternative route where possible and people have been urged not to speculate about the nature of the incident on social media.
At around 10.30pm on Thursday Hertfordshire Police posted on Facebook: "ROAD CLOSURE. We are currently at the scene of an incident in Stevenage.
