Rizen comes into its own at Elizabeth Baptist in Shelby
Every week services at Elizabeth Baptist Church are divided into four groups. Two of them aren't what one expect from a traditional service. Led by a group of 10 teenagers they are part live concert, part sermon.
At the heart of it all is Rizen - a youth band comprised of Michael Miller, Nathan Matheson, Nathan Jiang, James Pribble, Christ Fraser, Rosemary Costner, Makayla White, Sammy Campbell and Laura Wells. For nearly a year the group has been leading services at Elizabeth Church, performing contemporary gospel and Christian hits interspersed with live-streamed messages from the church pastor.
