Riverdale star Charles Melton named the newest Global Ambassador of the Special Olympics

Charles Melton has been named the newest Global Ambassador of the Special Olympics.
The 30-year-old Riverdale star told People on Thursday that his new distinction had put 'a huge smile on my face.'
The actor also spoke about how he has been involved with the charitable organization for a long time and how he was happy to work in his new capacity.

'It's been something I've been a part of for a little over two years now, so for it to be coming out amidst everything that's going on in the world, I'm pretty excited,' he said.
