The Edwardsville resident retired from his blue-collar job at age 48 to experience the world. In the four years since he has:
• Bicycled across Vietnam
• Walked across England
• Circumnavigated the 12,000-mile U.S. perimeter by bike
• Completed the 2,200-mile Appalachian Trail
• Thru-hiked the 2,650-mile Pacific Crest Trail amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
Later this month, Fiori will start his most ambitious challenge yet: hiking the 3,100-mile spine of the U.S., the Continental Divide Trail.
