Students 5-8th grade are invited to attend this year's virtual Youth Empowerment Summit, starting at 11 a.m. Jan. 18, hosted by Rise Up Reno.
Every year on Martin Luther King day, we have a summit just for 5th through 8th-grade students all over the state. This is a day to empower students to become future leaders, make great choices, and have fun.
This year instead of a full-day event, Rise Up Reno will host a shorter Zoom session which will allow attendance of even the busiest students. Speaker Dustin Galyon will deliver a keynote to inspire leadership, encourage decision-making skills, and entertain the group with his charismatic energy.
