Kinahan Cartel or Mr Big's gang chief suspects after gardai seize €12million worth of cocaine in container

A HAUL of cocaine worth €12million was found hidden in a container of bananas yesterday.

It had travelled here from Costa Rica, in ­Central America.
Gardai and customs officers yesterday seized approximately 172kgs of cocaine, with an estimated street value of €12.04million.
Some 70 containers were searched during the intensive operation.
Gardai suspect a number of major Irish drugs gangs joined forces to arrange the shipment. They also believe the haul was destined for the Irish market.
A source said: “This is a hugely significant haul and the next phase is to identify the crime gangs responsible for arranging the shipment to Ireland.
