Right whale mother found dead off Virginia, calf's future in doubt

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission reports a North Atlantic right whale, known as Catalog #1950, was found dead off the coast of Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge in Virginia. The mammal’s 14-week-old calf has not been located and is not expected to survive.
