Richmond police chief scheduled for trial on illegal LEIN-use charge

Police Chief Thomas Costello’s attorney, Arthur Jay Weiss, and Macomb prosecutors last month reached a deal in which Costello entered a no-contest plea on the promise of one year probation. But Judge William Hackel III said he “was not happy” with the sentencing and ordered Costello to jail.
