PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE)- Black Lives Matter (BLM) Rhode Island celebrated the official opening of its new headquarters in Downtown Pawtucket Saturday.
The new headquarters the state’s first African American Innovation Center, and is home to an African American library and technology lab.
“This space represents all the years of hard work and dedication, a place to come together and support each other. This is about unity and education,” said Founder and Executive Director Brother Gary Dantzler.
The center is located on Main Street and starting Monday, will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.
