SHELTON — Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a male suspect in a bank robbery inside a Stop & Shop Tuesday morning.
Police said the man was seen entering the Stop & Shop on Bridgeport Avenue around 10 a.m., and approached a teller at the People’s Bank inside the store. The man handed the teller a note “demanding cash and implied that he had a gun,” Shelton police Detective Christopher Nugent said.
The man then ran out to the parking lot and fled in a car, described by police as a newer model orange Hyundai Tucson SUV, Nugent said.
