Retired La Grande hotshot dies - Wildfire Today

Mark "Shiny" Gomez passed away after a brief yet fierce battle with a respiratory illness. A light to all those who knew him, Mark was fittingly born in Los Alamos, New Mexico, known as the land of Enchantment, on Nov. 19, 1956.
