Restrictions to vaccine could cause more delays

The vaccine has been restricted because of rare blood clotting.
While there is only one known case in Ireland, the National Immunisation Committee recommended the vaccine be restricted for Safety.
The Deputy Chief Medical Officer hasn’t ruled out a longer lockdown after the AstraZenaca jab was restricted to over 60’s only, last night.
The National Immunisation Advisory Committee (Niac) has recommended the vaccine be limited because of reports of blood clotting in younger patients.
While there has only been one reported episode of blood clotting in Ireland the press conference the department of health heard that “safety is more important”.
