With many Maury County residents stuck at home due to dangerous road conditions from a wave of winter weather, local authorities are offering a helping hand to those in need of assistance.
Both Columbia Fire & Rescue Chief Ty Cobb and Maury County Sheriff Bucky Rowland said the region's local departments are offering emergency support to residents stranded at home.
Departments are reaching out a helping hand to the public, especially elderly members of the community with goal of helping fill medical prescriptions and delivering groceries to those running out of food.
The Columbia Police Department is also offering assistance.
