Care home residents and staff at Mountbatten Grange 'get the jab'
Team members and residents at a Windsor's Mountbatten Grange care home in Helston Lane have been celebrating after becoming one of the first homes in the area to receive Covid-19 vaccinations for almost all residents and staff.
One of the first in the queue for the vaccination was 91-year-old Margaret Purvis, who said: “Brilliant, the vaccine is just what we need, I’m glad I’ve finally had it.”
Doctors Edward Harrison and Kirstin Ostle from Dedworth Medical Centre were on hand to do the honours.
Debbie Winwood, home manager at Mountbatten Grange, said: “We were so pleased that residents in our home have had the vaccination. I would like to offer my thanks to the NHS team at Dedworth Medical Centre. They were incredibly efficient, friendly and made sure everything went smoothly which was much appreciated.
