Republicans appoint new Washington County Commissioner

Adam Snow, the director of U.S. Rep. Chris Stewart's Southern Utah office, was picked Tuesday by fellow Republicans as the new interim member of the Washington County Commission.
Snow replaces former commission Dean Cox, a longtime county official who died July 7 due to complications with cancer.
Snow said he was hesitant to run for the seat until Cox personally asked him to be his replacement, describing the task to replace Cox as “daunting” but saying that he would try to carve his own way as commissioner.
