Rangers target Britt Assombalonga is on his way out of Middlesbrough with Bristol City striker Famara Diedhiou potentially set to replace the £15m frontman at the Riverside, as reported by the Telegraph.
When Boro paid a club-record fee to bring Assombalonga to the North East in July 2017, they might have envisaged the former Nottingham Forest talisman firing an underachieving club to the Championship title and back into the Premier League.
It is fair to say things have worked out rather differently.
