ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC/AP) — Multiple members of New York’s congressional delegation called Friday on Gov. Andrew Cuomo to resign in the wake of mounting allegations of sexual harassment and an allegation of groping, as well as scrutiny over his administration’s reporting of COVID-19 deaths among nursing home residents.
Six women have now accused Cuomo of sexual harassment or inappropriate behavior. The Democratic governor has denied he ever touched anyone inappropriately and has said he’s sorry if he ever made anyone uncomfortable.
After former aide Lindsey Boylan said in December that the governor sexually harassed her, the Wall Street Journal reports Cuomo's office called at least six former employees either to find out if they had heard from Boylan or to glean information about her in conversations.
