Iowa Congressman Randy Feenstra has been given a look inside the challenges at the U.S.-Mexico border. Feenstra, who represents Iowa's fourth district, traveled to Presidio, Texas, over the weekend. Feenstra told KCCI he spent time with border patrol agents who said they need more staffing and helicopters to stop criminals from illegally crossing into the United States. "They had many criminals trying to come in. MS-13 gang members, sexual predators coming," Feenstra said. "They said this is the scary thing. We're only catching six out of every 10, and this creates or could create a bad outcome for our country because we are not catching these bad actors."Feenstra said migrant families and children are coming into a different area of Texas where most of the border patrol agents are concentrated.Hear more about Feenstra's trip during KCCI Close Up on Sunday.
