RENSSELAER COUNTY, N.Y. â The county will be working to pave 65 miles of county roads during 2021, making an unprecedented investment in improving the important service, Rensselaer County Executive Steve McLaughlin and members of the County Legislature announced recently.
The countyâs âDrive for 65â aims at paving over half of the 322-miles of county roads during a four-year period, McLaughlin noted. Thus far, the county has paved 105 miles of roads in three years.
âThis is a historic investment in our county roads and will make a major difference in this important service. We promised to improve county roads, and this effort demonstrates our commitment,â McLaughlin said.
