“Honor thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.” – Exodus 20:12.
Mother’s Day is a time when we pay special tribute to mothers with gifts, dinners and attention.
Some see Mother’s Day as a way to atone for an entire year of neglect and disrespect. Others have a wonderful relationship with their mothers and enjoy each other’s company.
While a loving mother is easy to honor and respect, some have not had that blessing. A mother who accepts, loves and showers affection on their children is similar to God’s unconditional love for us.
