Feed My Starving Children
Feed My Starving Children was an event within a community outreach project led by the members of the First United Methodist Church of Sikeston Missouri, in December of 2015. The purpose of the event is to pack meals to be sent to impoverished areas of Africa. Over 2,000 members of the community came together to accomplish a common goal: eliminating world hunger.
During the event, I was tasked with loading and unloading manna packs, as well as making sure each packing station was supplied. The environment of the packing facility was very upbeat and inspiring, however, during the instructions, we were shown a video of the children that would benefit from our manna packs.
