Redding locals celebrate the new steam whistle at the Market St. Block Party.

REDDING, Calif. - From 4pm to 8pm Friday evening, people in Redding gathered at Market Center to enjoy live music and drinks.
People were setting up all afternoon waiting for the crowds to come.
Market Center was blocked off so people could wander throughout the street to socialize and experience the new and improved area of downtown.
Friday was the “opening” of the imaginary Whiskey Lake’s Bar & Grille, put on by Denny Bar Co. Distillery.
