Manhattan: The chickens are coming home to roost on Steve Bannon. His flagrant defiance of the House Jan. 6 panel’s subpoena investigating the insurrection was and remains indefensible and amounts to nothing more than him thumbing his nose at the congressional committee. Now that his contempt trial in federal court is about to begin, he is scrambling with the help of his lawyer to slither away from the charges by finally agreeing to testify before the committee. And he’s using that belated willingness to cooperate as a pretense to postpone the trial.
