RADNOR — Volunteer firefighters and EMS personnel living in Radnor could soon get a little something extra for their time and efforts.
Although the details need to be worked out, Radnor Township officials are beginning to discuss a plan to give qualifying volunteer firefighters and EMS personnel a property tax rebate or a stipend. The issue was raised at a board meeting this week by Commissioner Lisa Borowski.
“There are other municipalities that do this,” Borowski said during a board meeting this week. “Lower Merion for one does offer a volunteer tax credit for those volunteer first responders.”

In Lower Merion, the program includes fire companies in Lower Merion, Narberth and Narberth Ambulance.
