Walter Olkewicz has died. A prominent character actor probably best known for his roles on David Lynch’s
Twin Peaks—first as sinister bartender/card-dealer Jacques Renault in the original series, and then as another vice-invested Renault, Jean-Michael, in
The Return—Olkewicz was a fixture on ’80s and ’90s TV. Per
Variety, his death was confirmed today by his son, Zachary. He was 72.
