The exhibition will open at 6pm on Monday with a talk by Pam Saunders, who has curated the exhibition together with volunteers.
“Pam has been with us for over 40 years, and has a wonderful knowledge of the textiles' collection here, which is huge compared to any other provincial museum collection,” Austin said.

“I think it's partly because Marlborough people just had an instinct not to throw anything away. A lot of the things that might not have survived in other areas, have somehow been squirrelled away with the collection here.
