Queensland Parole Board applications backlog forcing prisoners to wait up to a year for decision - 23-Nov-2021
Prisoners Legal Service estimates the backlog comes at a monthly cost of $3.9 million to the Queensland taxpayer. Some prisoners are waiting in jail for more than a year after their parole eligibility date has passed.
