The centre of Queensland’s latest coronavirus outbreak has been identified as the most vaccinated region in the state, and among the highest-ranked nationwide, while some areas in lockdown as a result are among those with the lowest protection levels.
Almost one-quarter of the eligible population in Brisbane west, which includes the suburb of Indooroopilly and surrounds where most of the 47 school cluster cases have emerged in the past four days, has been fully vaccinated, according to new regional vaccination details.
Residents are tested for COVID-19 at a pop-up clinic at Indooroopilly State High School, the centre of the state’s latest outbreak and within an area boasting one of the highest vaccination rates in the country.
