In co-operation with Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS), QRCS's representation mission in Bangladesh distributed food
parcels containing local food staples - such as sugar, salt, vegetable oil, chickpeas, lentils and spices - to 8,150 families (or 42,550 people) at camps 13 and 14.
These distributions will help alleviate the suffering of refugees from Myanmar and meet their food needs during the cold winter, QRCS has said in a statement.
Non-food winterisation kits will be distributed in Phase 2 of the project, each kit containing a jacket, cotton clothes, winter shoes, socks, hat, scarf, gloves and blanket.
