(File photo) MANILA - The Office of Civil Defense (OCD) announced that the fourth and last National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) for this year will be held on November 11. "Magsisimula ang programa nang alas otso nang umaga at isasagawa ang ceremonial pressing of the button nang ganap na alas nuwebe na hudyat ng ating pagda-duck, cover, and hold! (The program will start at 8 a.m. and we will conduct the ceremonial pressing of the button at exactly 9 a.m. which will signal the start of our duck, cover, and hold (exercises)," the agency said in a Facebook post on Monday night. In-person earthquake drills are still suspended due to the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic. The NSED for the first and second quarters of this year were held on March 11 and June 10, respectively, while the third was conducted on September 16. The event can be watched via livestreaming on the Civil Defense PH and National Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council Facebook pages where viewers can do the "duck, cover, and hold" gesture in their houses and offices once the ceremonial alarm sounds.
