Puratos USA launches sugar reduced chocolate using chicory root fibre

Puratos USA, a leading bakery ingredient and Belgian chocolate supplier, has announced the launch of Belcolade Selection Dark Sugar Reduced Cacao-Trace Chocolate as part of its mission to ‘reduce sugar without sacrificing taste’.
The company described it as a new step in its health and wellbeing journey as the chocolate is made with all-natural chicory root fibre instead of high-intensity sweeteners like stevia or aspartame.
It said the latest addition to the premium Belcolade Selection range has 40% less sugar and is 100% natural, using only clean label ingredients to create a perfectly balanced flavour with bright, fruity, and smooth roasted cocoa notes.
