Pimpri-Chinchwad police have unravelled an intricate modus operandi of a woman — who lost her job in the
pandemic — to honey-trap men and women through dating apps and rob them of cash, jewellery.
The woman, identified as 27-year-old
Sayli Kale of Sadhu Vaswani Road, was detained last week after a Chennai-based education career guide lodged a formal complaint on being duped. Mirror had reported how Ashish Kumar, the Chennai resident, was robbed of valuables after he had a drink offered by Kale at a hotel in Wakad. She was formally arrested by crime branch (unit 4) on Tuesday, said Krishna Prakash, police commissioner (CP) of Pimpri-Chinchwad police commissionerate.
