While 921 fresh cases were reported, so were 857 recoveries and 11 COVID deaths in 24 hours.
Pune district on Saturday reported 921 new
coronavirus cases and 11 deaths, taking the count of infections till date to 10,77,963 and death toll to 18,229, said district health officials. This is the fourth consecutive day that the district recorded a higher number of COVID cases.
As many as 857 patients recovered from hospitals in the same 24 hours, pushing the total number of recovered patients to 10,49,763. At present, 5,306 people are in institutional quarantine and 4,667 in home quarantine in the district; a total of 9,973 active COVID cases are reported.
Of the fresh COVID cases on Saturday, 181 are under Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), 156 under Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 499 in Pune rural and 85 in Civil Surgeon and Cantonment Board areas, respectively, said, Pune district health officer Dr Bhagwan Pawar.
