During the roadside investigation deputies found meth, a substance suspected to be heroin and over $9,000 in cash in the car. The driver, 48-year-old Eric Nicholas of Somerset, was arrested and charged with two counts of trafficking in a controlled substance, failure to produce proof of insurance and being a persistent felony offender. Nicholas has a previous charge of trafficking in a controlled substance from 2017, along with evading police in 2012. A passenger, 22-year-old Autumn Decker of McKee, was also arrested and charged with disorderly conduct. Both were lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center.
