One of Colorado’s most prestigious scholarship awards, the Boettcher Scholarship, announced eight Pueblo semifinalists for the award earlier this week.
The Boettcher Scholarship gives recipients a full ride to one of 18 four-year universities across the state that partner with Boettcher.
The scholarship covers tuition and room and board fees, as well as a $2,800 yearly stipend, a book allowance, access to additional grants to further their education and events to help network.
Pueblo West High School has two students named as semifinalists: Brookyln Phillips and Gavin Graham.
Pueblo East and Pueblo South have three students each: Isobel McGiveny, Kaleigh Duran and Layne Martinez at East and Olivia Arellano, Madison Wallerstedt and William Highfill at South.
