Although the coronavirus pandemic has hit businesses such as restaurants and bars hard, Pueblo's real estate market has not suffered the same fate.
Last year “was a very good year,” said Dave Anderson, a ReMax Pueblo West broker associate who is the chief number cruncher for the Pueblo Association of Realtors.
Anderson attributes that to interest rates of between 2.65% and 2.72%, that “all of a sudden buying has become affordable” and the fact that many companies have realized having employees work from home is doable.
Many people are moving here from larger cities “because they can work from home, and this will continue because Pueblo is a nice place to live with a better climate and we have the reservoir,” he said.
