YORKTOWN, N.Y. – A public hearing on a CubeSmart self-storage facility, proposed to take over and expand the vacant Toys “R” Us building on Bank Road, will be held Monday, Dec. 21, at a virtual Planning Board meeting. The board would need to approve the site plan and award a special-use permit.
Many storage units would be inside the Jefferson Valley building; however, some external units would be built on the east and west sides, which the applicant is proposing to expand by 11,217 square feet and 13,254 square feet, respectively, for a total building size of 70,433 square feet. The north and south sides of the building, facing Bank Road and Route 6, would not have external units.
