A study on the threat status of Vietnamese reptiles suggests further conservation measures are required to protect vulnerable species such as the psychedelic rock gecko from habitat loss and overharvesting. In their paper, newly published in the open-access scientific journal Nature Conservation, a German-Vietnamese team of researchers identify areas of high reptile diversity and large numbers of endangered species. They also provide a list of the 50 most threatened species as a guide for further research and conservation action in Vietnam.
